Semiconductor manufacturing

Critical control of processing environments is essential for the successful manufacturing of semiconductor devices, on both silicon and compound semiconductor substrates. As device geometries reduce in scale, the demands on the manufacturing environment increase.

We design facilities which achieve extremely stringent control of airborne particulate and molecular contamination, EMC control, close-tolerance temperature and humidity control and vibration isolation. High-reliability infrastructure is required to deliver utilities, gases and chemicals at the highest level of safety, cleanliness and purity.

Life sciences

Key issues in the design of facilities for life-sciences manufacturing include containment, contamination and cross-contamination control and reliability. Additionally effective management of validation to the required mandatory guidelines is essential to the success of any project.

Tool Hook Up

The hook-up design and management services comprise the specification, design, tendering and subsequent implementation of hook-up projects. The activities comprise amongst others:

  • Preparation of detailed design documents for utility requirements, system interconnect and space management delivered with an integrated 3D design platform
  • Preparation of macro and micro layouts for process and support areas
  • Definition and design of mini-environments and associated construction documents
  • Design coordination of floor and wall penetrations and appropriate shop drawings
  • Coordination and direction of contractors/suppliers
  • Time, cost and quality monitoring
  • Coordination and verification of test & acceptance procedures
