Energy Analysis

Overview

We have developed our own energy modelling tool, which uses bespoke algorithms to assist us in identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption in our designs.

We also utilise our energy analysis capabilities to benchmark existing facilities and assist our clients to reduce their carbon footprint, while focusing on best investment case. We compare options and prioritise those offering maximum benefit, short payback periods and attractive returns on investment.

Our optimised designs achieve industry leading standards in efficiency.

Using data collected from our projects, we modelled typical cleanroom and laboratory energy profiles. This knowledge enables us to focus on implementing energy saving measures to achieve maximum impact. For example, we saw that two areas alone offer huge potential for savings. HVAC and Exhaust Systems typically account for over 20% of cleanroom energy consumption, while Chilled Water & Cooling Systems account for around 25%. We developed innovative techniques to significantly reduce energy usage associated with these systems, often with little capital outlay.
